Question

How can I deny someone access to my unit?

Answer

In the Gradebook (under the 'Teach' tab) find the user's name. Next to it is a small action menu symbol, which when clicked reveals a drop-down menu.

Select "Deny Access" and the deed is done. You can reverse this action any time by using the same process, but you need to choose "Grant Access" instead.

For managing multiple students/staff, you can also use the checkboxes to the left of each name, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Deny Access' button. More care is needed with this method in case more than one box has been accidentally checked. It may be safer to use the 'uncheck all' function (use the empty checkbox sitting at the top of all the names) before you start selecting individual users.
